The museum itinerary of Villa La Quiete, a telling example of history of the Medicis, devotion and of female education, is re-opening on a permanent basis.
Starting Saturday 12 May, the itinerary "From Botticelli to Foggini. Paths of Florentine art at Villa La Quiete" will allow visitors to learn about the villa, its artistic heritage and the historical figures that have enriched its value over time.
Highlights among the works, a number of 16th-century altarpieces: the Coronation of the Virgin by Sandro Botticelli and workshop and the Madonna with Child and Saints by Ridolfo del Ghirlandaio and Michele Tosini.
On the occasion of the re-opening it will also be shown for the first time the Coat of Arms of Pope Leo X in polychrome wood.
Free admission and guided tour, reservations required.
